Welcome back, race fans! Today, I’m thrilled to share the exhilarating story of my latest Porsche Cup race at Zandvoort, where the Strength of Field was an impressive 2579. Starting from 11th position with car number 6, I managed to finish 4th despite facing some intense challenges.
The race kicked off with a dramatic incident in the very first turn. I got caught up in a crash, as you can see in the replay – I was pinched in a four-wide situation with no fault of my own. This dropped me from 11th to last or second last, around the 15th position.
Determined not to let this setback define my race, I fought my way back up through the field, encountering several thrilling and close moments along the way. It turned out to be a fantastic race overall.
The final lap brought even more drama as a competitor attempted an overtake. He overcooked it on the brakes and slid wide, allowing me to secure my 4th place finish. It was a nail-biting race from start to finish!
Despite picking up four incidents, my Safety Rating only dipped by 0.04, and I gained a solid 57 iRating points. Racing in my Full Motion D-Box Simulator with a 57-inch integrated monitor, Sparco seat, Sparco five-point harness, Simtag Ashley pedals, Simucube 2 Ultimate Wheelbase, and the Precision Sim Engineering Porsche Cup Replica wheel, felt incredibly immersive – like I was truly behind the windshield of the car.
I hope you enjoyed reading about this race as much as I enjoyed driving it. If you liked what you read, don’t forget to subscribe, hit the like button, ring the bell, or even consider donating. I appreciate all your support and look forward to your feedback.
