Thrilling Race in the iRacing Porsche Cup Series at Circuit de Spa Francorchamps
Hello everyone!
I’m excited to share my latest adventure in the iRacing Porsche Cup Series Fixed. This time, we tackled the legendary Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, and it was quite the spectacle!
Race Details:
- Track: Circuit de Spa Francorchamps
- Strength of Field: 2266
- Starting Position: 12th
- Finishing Position: 6th
- Incidents: 7
- Safety Rating Change: -0.04
- iRating Change: +38
Despite starting from P12, I managed to work my way up to P6 by the finish line. The race wasn’t without its challenges, though, as I racked up seven incidents along the way. My Safety Rating took a slight hit (-0.04), but I gained 38 iRating points, so overall, it was a successful race!
Two corners, in particular, gave me a tough time: Eau Rouge and Blanchimont. I couldn’t seem to nail them perfectly even once, which might explain why I didn’t finish higher up the leaderboard. Nevertheless, the race was a lot of fun.
A little confession: I only had one practice session the day before the race. Why? It’s been unbelievably hot here in Austria, and my simulator is set up in the living room. Training in this heat? Not exactly appealing!
Despite the lack of preparation, I thoroughly enjoyed the race on my D-Box Full Motion Simulator. It makes every race feel incredibly realistic, almost like being on the actual track. Truly, it’s an amazing experience.
