Race in the New iRacing Season – Porsche Cup Fixed Race at Snetterton
Welcome to my first race in the new iRacing season! This time, it was the Porsche Cup Fixed Race on the amazing Snetterton circuit. It’s a fantastic track that I really enjoy.
I started from 16th place and finished in 13th, despite having 8 incidents. The Strength of Field was 3,332, making the race highly exciting.
The start was great, but as often happens, I messed up in the first lap. I overestimated the grip of cold tires and spun out halfway through the first lap, ending up in last place. However, the race was far from over. With more luck than sense, I managed to climb back up the field, making every lap a thrilling battle.
This race was packed with adrenaline and excitement, and I was fully immersed in my full-motion D-Box setup, complete with a 57-inch monitor, Simucube 2 Ultimate Wheelbase, Simtag Ashley hydraulic pedals, and Sparco 5-point harness. It felt like I was right there in the cockpit, especially with the intense wheel-to-wheel action and the dirt flying onto the windshield.
I made a couple of small mistakes and went off track a bit, but overall, it was incredibly engaging and a lot of fun. I love racing and battling with others; it’s fantastic. It’s wonderful to have found such a hobby and to be able to live out my passion from the comfort of my living room.
I hope you enjoy watching this exciting race as much as I enjoyed racing it. If you love the thrill of motorsport and the excitement of close battles, you’re in for a treat.
