Intense and Close Battles in Porsche Cup at Circuit Zandvoort | Race Recap
This past race at Circuit Zandvoort was nothing short of exhilarating! Starting from 16th position, I pushed hard and managed to cross the finish line in 14th place, despite encountering an incident along the way. With a Strength of Field (SoF) of 3395, the competition was fierce, and I’m pleased to have gained +0.2 in Safety Rating, even if I did lose 7 iRating points.
The race itself was incredibly tight and packed with action. I spent the entire race battling it out with Mateo from Mexico, who was driving at a very similar pace to mine. It was a constant back-and-forth, with me glued to his bumper, but I couldn’t quite find the gap to overtake him. The intensity of being so close throughout the race made it one of the most thrilling experiences I’ve had on iRacing.
All of this was experienced on my D-Box Full Motion Simulator with a 57-inch monitor, which makes each race feel almost lifelike—a big part of why I’m so passionate about this hobby. The immersion it provides is second to none.
I hope you found the race as exciting as I did! The tight battles, especially with Mateo, kept me on the edge of my seat, and I’m already looking forward to next week’s season finale. Be sure to stay tuned!
