iRacing Porsche Cup Fixed – Indianapolis | A Thrilling Race with Ups and Downs
This time, the iRacing Porsche Cup Fixed Series took me to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With a Strength of Field (SoF) of 2758, the competition was intense. I started from P14 with car number 16 and managed to finish in P12.
The race was held on my full-motion D-Box simulator with a 57-inch integrated monitor, which made the experience even more immersive. Since I haven’t raced at Indianapolis very often, I put in two practice sessions beforehand. I wasn’t the fastest, but considering my skill level, I was quite satisfied with my pace.
The race itself was very clean, with only a few minor contacts—just normal racing incidents. The competition was tight, and I had to push hard throughout the race. I made several mistakes, which made it quite challenging, but overall, I really enjoyed it.
One frustrating moment, though—I was running in P10 on the final lap, in the last corner, but lost it due to a braking mistake. That one hurt! But that’s racing, and I’ll learn from it.
Despite that, it was a great experience with fair and respectful drivers, which is exactly why I love the Porsche Cup and iRacing. I’m already looking forward to the next race!
